From Lab to Market: A Bolzano Stop on the Road to the Startup World
Collaboration between universities, businesses, and finance to foster the creation of new entrepreneurial ventures.
On November 6, the Spark Space at Sparkasse in Bolzano hosted the event “From Lab Bench to Market: A Roadmap to Tech Transfer and Startup Success”, part of a program promoted by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.
The meeting offered a concrete overview of how to transform academic research results into entrepreneurial initiatives, addressing key topics such as technology transfer, incubation and acceleration pathways, access to capital, and the strategic role of venture capital for structured and sustainable growth.
Under the guidance of Prof. Francesco Ravazzolo, creator of the program, the following speakers took the stage:
- Claudia Steger – Technology Transfer Officer & Project Manager, unibz
- Sonja Tetter – Startup Incubator, NOI Techpark
- Marco Senigalliesi – Head of LDV20 Unit, Sparkasse
- Ingrid Gius – Head of Private Markets, Euregio Plus SGR
Institutional greetings were delivered by Sparkasse CEO Nicola Calabrò and the Rector of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano Alexander Weissensteiner.
After the speakers’ presentations, a lively Q&A session with the audience—composed of students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and researchers—confirmed the strong interest in the topic. The event highlighted the value of collaboration between universities, businesses, and finance in fostering the birth of new entrepreneurial ventures.
As Sparkasse, we are proud to support initiatives that promote startup growth. The event represented an important first opportunity for dialogue among the main stakeholders in the province of Bolzano committed to supporting innovative entrepreneurship. In this context, Sparkasse is progressively consolidating its positioning through the services offered by the LDV20 unit.
