Fintech and Big Data in the Banking Sector
The topic of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in the Banking Sector was addressed in a workshop that originated from a collaboration between the Free University of Bolzano and Sparkasse Südtirol as represented by LDV20.
During the last two decades, the amount of data collected has increased exponentially due to the widespread digitalization across all sectors. Firms worldwide have attempted to use this data and exploit the immense amount of information. In the banking world, one can observe the implementation when it comes to investments and financial products, while on the other hand there is still the potential to improve when it comes to customer analysis. This is necessary to optimize and personalize products for consumers.
This workshop involved professionals from the banking and academic sectors to present the different existing viewpoints on this current topic. Representatives from the Free University of Bolzano and Sparkasse Südtirol participated in this event marking the beginning of their collaboration on this initiative, with LDV20 organizing and coordinating the innovation process for Sparkasse Südtirol.
